1. CLASS SCHEDULES
MONDAY CLASSES – INTRO, BEGINNER, NOVICE, JUNIOR, SENIOR –
Classes begin Monday, October 3
Location #1 – will be at HENDERSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Location #2 – will be at Watson Arts Centre (WAC) upstairs.
Intro Kindergarten Boys and Girls – Henderson School 4:15-5:00
Intro 4 year olds Boys and Girls– WAC 4:15-5:00
Beginner Gr.1/2 Boys and Girls– WAC 5:00-6:00
Novice Gr. 3 Girls Only– Henderson 5:00-6:00
Novice Gr. 4 Girls & 3/4 Boys – WAC 6:00-7:00
Junior Gr.5/6 Boys and Girls– Henderson 6:00-7:00
Senior – WAC 7:00-10:00
THURSDAY CLASSES – INTERMEDIATE -
Classes begin Thursday October 6
Location – Watson Arts Centre (WAC) upstairs.
Time: 5:30 – 7:00
2. ZIRKA SENIOR AUDITIONS
Those who would like to audition for the Senior Ensemble must be in Grade 9 or older.
Those auditioning must be in attendance for all 3 rehearsals.
Audition dates:
Monday, Sept. 26 at the WAC - 6:00-9:00
Thursday, Sept. 29 at Boze's Bodyshop - 6:00-9:00
Monday, Oct. 3 at the WAC - 7:00-10:00

Spread the word if you know someone from another community that would like to audition.
Come dressed to dance.
3. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Date : Thursday, October 6, 2011
Location: WAC Board Room

If in attendance for the entire meeting you will be entered to win your dancer's registration for 2011-12 FREE!!!
Please see the below vacancies to be filled on the Zirka Board of Directors. We need a full slate of Board members to run the Zirka group. If you have not been involved before… NOW is the time to make your child’s dance year successful. Call Carrie @ 638-0936 or ctbaker@mymts.net to show your interest.
Zirka needs 12/18 positions to be filled.

5. Fundraising plan
3 STEP - FUNDRAISING PLAN FOR 2011-12 ZIRKA DANCE SEASON
** EACH DANCING FAMILY means consisting of all the children in your family that dance with Zirka.
EX. 3 children from your family dancing with Zirka =1 dancing family
1 child from your family dancing with Zirka =1 dancing family
1. MANDATORY – DAUPHIN KING’S HOME GAMES scanning tickets.
*Sign up at Sept. 6 & 7 REGISTRATION DAYs
*See Dauphin Kings website for game dates. 30 home games. Schedule will also be provided at registration.
*If the Kings make the playoffs there will be extra games to be worked. Volunteers will be needed for these shifts.
*Raises up to $3000.00.
*A representative(s) (must be at least 18 years old) from EACH DANCING FAMILY MUST work at least 2 shifts (approx. 3.5 hours each game) scanning in tickets at the Dauphin King’s Home games.
Ex.This means that if a husband and wife work one game, that will count for 2 shifts from that dancing family.
2. MANDATORY –COUNTRYFEST July long weekend – serving alcohol, selling ice and charging for showers.
*Sign up to be contacted for shift work on REGISTRATION DAYs - Sept.6&7
*Filling specific shifts during designated class times in March.
*Raises $10,000-14,000
*A representative (up to 2 reps) from EACH DANCING FAMILY MUST work at least 1 shift (4 hours) at Countryfest Bar , Ice truck and/or Showers.
Ex. This means that 1 family friend may work on behalf of the dancer for ONE - 4 hour shift.
*There are approx. 240 – 4hour shifts to fill for the weekend. We will be needing volunteers for the remainder of the shifts.
*$10.00 per shift worked by the family representative(s) will be put towards the dancers tuition for the following dance season (totaling up to a maximum one full tuition within the dancing family)
Ex.This means that 2 family friends may work 5 shifts each and earn the Dancing Family $100 toward the tuition of one child.
3. OPTION - $100.00 CASH or CHEQUE to Zirka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble Inc.
*Due on Sept. 6 &7 REGISTRATION DAYs
*If unable to participate in the above 2 MANDATORY fundraisers you are required to pay $100.00 for EACH DANCING FAMILY toward the organization in lieu of the fundraising efforts.
Ex.This means that this dancing family does not need to work at a Dauphin Kings hockey game or Countryfest
