Costuming and Footwear For Sale

 

ALL DANCERS must have black slippers or jazz shoes and Ukrainian blouse or shirt before January.

**Intro dance students will be paying for a costume to be made.  This costume will be yours to keep or to sell next year to other Intro students.  More information to follow.

Zirka Costume Use Policy

Dancer’s wishing to borrow ZIRKA costumes for competition or personal performance must agree to and meet the following requirements:

v     Dancer must be a paid member of ZIRKA.

v     Only dancers performing under the name of ZIRKA will be permitted to take out a costume.

v     You will be required to leave a damage deposit of $50.00 and charged a maintenance fee of $25.00 to have the costume cleaned by ZIRKA.

v     If you require the costume that was used by your dance group ZIRKA will be responsible for the cost of cleaning the costume (there will be no required maintenance fee).

 

Zirka Costume Requirements for 2008-2009 dance year.

Please note that some costuming will need to be purchased and some will be provided by Zirka.  The costuming provided by Zirka will require a damage deposit (post-dated cheque) at time of costume pick-up.  If the costuming is returned undamaged then your cheque will not be cashed.

 

INTRO GROUP:

Girls

will need their own Ukrainian Blouse, red beads  and black dance slippers.

Red skirts, slip, sash, and headpiece. 

These are the same costumes that have been used the past couple of years. 

If you want to find a second hand one, please check our website for used costumes. 

These costumes can be purchased from Zirka for $50.00. 

Please let Dione or Iris know if you have a costume already, otherwise all dancers will be measured to have costumes made for them.

 

 

Boys

will need their own Ukrainian shirt and black slippers and green pants. 

Your child will be measured for these pants  unless you inform Dione or Iris that you already have a pair that color.  The cost for the pants is $40.00.

 

BEGINNER GROUP:

Girls

will need their own blouse, red beads and black slippers. 

The rest of the costume will be provided  by Zirka.

                                       

Boys

will need their own Ukrainian shirt, black slippers and blue pants. 

If you need pants made for you, please let Dione know as soon as possible. 

They  can be purchased for $40.00.

 

NOVICE 1 AND 2 GROUP:

Girls

will need their own blouse, red beads and black slippers. 

The rest of the costume will be provided  by Zirka.

                                   

Boys

will need their own Ukrainian shirt, black slippers . 

The rest of the costume will be provided  by Zirka.

 

JUNIOR GROUP:

Girls

will need their own blouse, red beads and black slippers. 

The rest of the costume will be provided by Zirka. 

These girls may be required to purchase a slip, depending which costume they will receive.   

More information to follow regarding the slip, but it will NOT be a huge expense if your child requires one.

                                

Boys

will need their own shirt, black slippers . 

The rest of the costume will be provided  by Zirka.

 

INTERMEDIATE GROUP:

Girls

will need their own blouse and beads. 

They will also need character shoes this year. 

The girls are also going to be encouraged to purchase bloomers this year to wear under their costumes.   They can be purchase already made from Zirka, or I can provide the pattern and supplies for any who want to make their own.  ...  more info to follow on the bloomers at a later time.  

 

SENIORS:

All dancers

in this group will be required to purchase or borrow red boots for performances.
